If you're running a multi-national fast food poutine chain rooted in 80s nostalgia, a larger-than-life pitcher of a sugary, fruity beverage is bound to crash through a brick wall at some point, and merge with your Quebecois-inspired loaded fries. The result is Toronto-based poutine chain 's outrageous new creation, Kool-Aid infused poutine.
Smoke's has just launched two Kool-Aid Poutine options: ‘OHHHH Yeah Orange’ and ‘Rockin’ Cherry Bomb Red.' The Kool-Aid flavouring is used in the sauces, so, for example, in the Cherry Bomb one, you're getting the chain's classic poutine topped with flatiron steak, chow mein noodles, green onions and Cherry Kool-Aid BBQ sauce.

Smoke's calls these "WEIRD, WILD + WACKY gastronomical creations," in an e-mailed press release, and, just by description alone, that seems dead accurate.
If you want to see how the Kool-Aid Poutines taste, they'll be available only until March 24. Smoke's Poutinerie has about 150 locations in Canada and the U.S., however in B.C. they have a handful of locations, including on the SFU and BCIT campuses, in Burnaby, at Rogers Arena, and on Granville in Vancouver, as well as in Kamloops and Kelowna.
