Vancouver's high-profile restaurant group is polishing another feather in its local cap. The company is officially opening the doors to , a new "chophouse" concept in a prime downtown location.
Riley's has moved in at 200 Burrard St, in the Waterfront Building space previously occupied by Rogue Kitchen & Wetbar. Rogue closed up what had been the mini-chain's third Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»location in the fall of 2021, with Glowbal signing on not too long after.
French-born Jérôme Soubeyrand, who previously served as Executive Chef at Glowbal's Coast and Executive Sous at its Black & Blue restaurant, is leading the culinary crew at Riley's in the Executive Chef post.
The menu makes the most of Riley's slogan, "West Coast Prime," by honing in on a variety of steak options with sides, as well as seafood like an epic chilled seafood tower. The restaurant also boasts an oyster-shucking station and a full bar, pouring cocktails, B.C. craft beers, and wines from B.C. and further afield by the glass or bottle.
The 240-seat restaurant also features a private dining "enclave" for events, with its own entrance, and a 100-seat "garden patio."
Open daily for dinner (lunch and weekend brunch will be added soon), Riley's first day is Monday, May 9.
Glowbal operates several Metro Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»restaurants, including the flagship Glowbal, Black & Blue, and Coast in downtown, as well as multiple locations of its Trattoria brand, and Five Sails at the iconic Canada Place.
