A Shanghai-based global tea drink brand known for its mango beverages is expanding its reach with its first Canadian shop.

is entering the Canadian market in Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»with a location at 1696 Robson St, in what was previously a Chewgurt Yummy yogurt drink shop.

Called in its native China, the brand began as "Xieji Dessert" in 2006, specializing in Hong Kong-style desserts. Eventually, the business evolved and expanded, and last year operators had a goal of having over 1,000 franchised Sweet 7 locations in 137 countries.

According to its Canadian website, Sweet 7 uses "fresh mango and fruit tea brewing techniques" with a "handcrafted process" to create its signature beverages, made without artificial flavours.

A menu for its Canadian franchise hasn't been shared yet, but a glimpse of the menu from a now-closed L.A. location of "Sweet 7," which opened in 2019 at a kiosk at a San Gabriel Valley mall, shows drinks there were made with components like fresh fruit pieces, coconut milk, fruit juices like kiwi and strawberry, tea, cheese foam, and sago. (Update: A representative for Sweet 7's Canadian operations clarifies that the L.A. Sweet 7 was unsanctioned and not affiliated with the brand. The Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»shop will be the first official Sweet 7 in North America.)

A timeline for Sweet 7's debut on Robson Street in Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»has not been revealed, but you can find the Chinese mango tea drink shop's Canadian franchise operation on Instagram .
