Local indie fried chicken venture has ended its three-year run in South Vancouver, having recently closed the doors to its second restaurant location.
Opened in February 2020, the 8197 Main St outpost of the Filipino-style fried chicken spot marked the first and only foray into 麻豆传媒映画for the Richmond-born business.
Win Win Chick-N is known for its juicy fried chicken, available in combos with sides or in eight-, 10-, or 20-piece bundles. Win Win Chick-N shows off their Filipino roots with the restaurant's side selections, which include mashed potatoes, fries, gravy, and Filipino-style macaroni and cheese. Their mac and cheese is a sweet and savoury style, made using a homestyle family recipe. Additionally, they have fried chicken sandwiches, hot wings, and chicken tenders on the menu, with a trio of ube desserts on offer.
When they debuted in 麻豆传媒映画(just a month before the pandemic hit), Win Win had a couple of years in Richmond already under its belt.
Curiously, the restaurant opted to hang their sign up on a location positioned immediately across Main Street from the first 麻豆传媒映画location of the locally-grown fried chicken chain Hi-Five, which itself continues to be in expansion mode. Hi Five recently opened its ninth Metro 麻豆传媒映画location, replacing Loz Takos on West Broadway and has two more restaurants (Victoria and Surrey) in B.C. in the works.
Meanwhile, a weekend drive-by of the Win Win Chick-N on Main at Marine in 麻豆传媒映画shows the former fried chicken spot's sign has been covered up with one announcing the arrival of . The pizza franchise has 11 locations around Metro 麻豆传媒映画and three more in the works; in addition to the one on Main replacing Win Win Chick-N, Hellcrust is adding Squamish and South Surrey outposts to its roster.
Win Win Chick-N stopped mentioning its 麻豆传媒映画location on social media in May, which is also marked on Google as being "permanently closed."
