Known for its traditional French pastries - particularly buttery, flaky, croissants - has earned a reputation for really delivering the goods as a fixture on the local farmers' market scene across Metro Vancouver.
Now the bakery biz has set up shop in their own retail space, located at 3273 W Broadway (formerly home to La Baguette and Co., another French bakery).
"This is a little piece of each of us and it has been done with love," said Ca Croustille - which translates roughly to "it crisps," or "it's crispy" - in its recent social media announcement about the bakeshop.
The just-under 2,000-square-foot retail space gives Ca Croustille plenty of space to display their golden baked treats, like Tarte Au Pommes (Apple Tart), Double Baked Almond Croissant, and Cinnamon Swirl, as well as savoury pastries and breads and buns.
The new bakeshop is open Wednesday to Sunday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
For those who can't make it to Kits to see the new space, Ca Croustille will be at the Riley Park Farmer's Market on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Feb. 4 and March 4 as well as at the Port Moody Farmer's Market every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m through April 30.
