Move over, boring ol' corn dogs!

Move over, boring ol' corn dogs: A global chain specializing in batter-coated and deep-fried hot dogs - on sticks - is coming to Vancouver.

Chung Chun Rice Dog, the Korean brand with over 300 franchise locations worldwide, will be opening their first western Canadian outpost.

The fast food novelty is setting up shop at 1795 Robson Street, in the former Pacific Poke location.

Operators of Vancouver's forthcoming Chung Chun confirmed with V.I.A. that they plan to open up the doors in November.

What's on the menu?

The chain makes hot dogs and mozzarella sticks coated in a rice flour and panko batter that are fried to order (so expect lines at peak times). You can get your "rice dog" with some extra coatings, like crunchy ramen noodle bits or chunks of potato.

Variations on the rice dog include spicy sausage, a double cheese version, or one made with a squid ink batter. Plus you can get all sorts of sauces drizzled on top, or on the side for some serious dunking.
