There's a fresh new spot for grabbing Vietnamese sandwiches - banh mi - and salad rolls that's just opened in Vancouver.

recently opened its doors at 5556 Cambie St in the Oakridge area. The space had previously been home to Mimibuloveme, which specialized in Japanese parfaits, tea, and other eats.

On the menu at Bonjour Banh Mi are a half-dozen varieties of the traditional Vietnamese sandwich served on a French-style baguette. Options range from the House Special (made with ham, cold cuts, bacon, meatball, and a house-made pate) to all-veggie, as well as lemongrass chicken, grilled pork, meatball, or ham.

Banh mi are priced at $6 to $7 and all feature mayo, pickled daikon and carrots, cilantro, cucumbers, and jalapeno.

Additionally, Bonjour Banh Mi features salad rolls - cold, rice-paper wrapped rolls filled with vermicelli, lettuce, and your choice of shrimp, veggies, pork, or chicken, with dipping sauce.
