At least 16 restaurants closed in Richmond in 2023

Some restaurants were a staple of the city for more than a decade before their closing doors

However, some restaurants also said goodbye last year, and were replaced by new restaurants or moved out of the city.  

Those that closed included bubble tea shops and cafes, corner noodle houses as well as restaurants that specialize in different cuisines.

Some restaurants were a staple in the city for more than a decade before their closure, while others only lasted for less than a year.
