the box game is the traveling stage of a larger artwork called ‘what’s in the box’. in the month of march, a black box will be taken to various locations throughout north america by and one of my favorite conceptual artists, . at each location they will set up a game that asks people what they think is in the box. all ballots will be collected, analyzed and statistically interpreted. what has been collectively imagined to be in the box will be constructed. the final stage of the box game will be an exhibition. 'what's in the box' is the inaugural exhibition for , a traveling art venue conceived by joshua kit clayton and curated by terri c. smith.
lucky for us- the box game will be coming to vancouver, at the helen pitt gallery, on march 21st.
