Bryan Adams took to Instagram today to issue what appears to be a non-apology for the tweet he issued yesterday that broke the internet in Canada.

In case you missed the first part of this evolving story, on Monday Adams used expletives to deride "bat eating, wet animal market selling, virus making greedy bastards" who he apparently sees as responsible for him having to postpone some shows at the  in London which were supposed to start then.

He was accused of being racist by many internet users, as well as the .

His non-apology was issued this morning, in the caption for a video of a song he performs.

He seems to be going with the age-old, sorry-if-you-were-offended-by-what-I-said-but-I'm-not-sorry angle, standing by his statement.

He writes "Apologies to any and all that took offence to my posting yesterday. No excuse, I just wanted to have a rant about the horrible animal cruelty in these wet-markets being the possible source of the virus, and promote veganism."

He goes on to say "I have love for all people and my thoughts are with everyone dealing with this pandemic around the world."

This will certainly appease some fans who have been defending him by saying "He's not racist, he's vegan!"
