One of Canada’s tallest trees, standing at 65 feet high, will be lit at the 6th annual Highstreet Christmas Tree Lighting and Holiday Show in the Fraser Valley on Saturday, Nov. 16.
While the tree is one of the main attractions, guests will also be privy to a dazzling 30 minute live show that includes a spectacular multi-media light display that showcases 6,000 tri-colour LED bulbs that dance to festive musical favourites. What’s more, the spectacular event will include the arrival of Santa Clause, Rudolf, Frosty, Spandy Andy the dancing elf, a 40-piece marching band, a team of festive dancers, and a magical snowfall.
Holiday shows run every Saturday, from 5 - 5:30 p.m. with pre-show festivities starting at 4:30 p.m., until Dec. 14.
Visitors can have their photo snapped with Santa from Nov. 21 to Dec. 24 at Highstreet’s oversized 18 x 18 Holiday Gift Box. Home to Santa and his beloved elves, the private experience allows for the picture perfect holiday moment. Photos include a high-resolution digital image and a free 5X7 print, compliments of London Drugs.
From Nov. 21 to Dec. 10, children can drop their wish lists to Santa at Highstreet's oversized mailbox, which is located inside the post office at London Drugs, Highstreet. Santa’s helpers are ready to collect the letters and ensure a personalized note will be mailed back to every girl and boy.
For every letter collected, Highstreet will donate a can of food to the Abbotsford Food Bank. Letters must be received by Dec. 10.
From Nov. 21 to Dec. 24, visitors may also enjoy complimentary gift wrap with donations to the Abbotsford Food Bank.
