Help make next year's Celebration of Light even better

Tonight is the second of three nights in the 22nd annual Honda Celebration of Light fireworks competition! Hopefully by now you've figured out where you're going to watch Brazil's show from, be it right in the thick of it all in English Bay or perhap

Tonight is the second of three nights in the 22nd annual fireworks competition! Hopefully by now you've figured out where you're going to watch Brazil's show from, be it right in the thick of it all in English Bay or perhaps a little further away in Vanier Park or maybe you're lucky enough to have a friend who lives in a highrise that has a sweet view. Wherever you end up viewing them from you're being treated to a free show, and that in itself is awesome.

We've done a bunch of fireworks-related posts this summer, because there are so many awesome elements to the festivities. First we encouraged you to the Celebration of Light mobile app, then we took you on a of the fireworks barge, we to ShoreFest (FREE concerts!) then photos of the first ShoreFest and finally we shared the news that for your favourite performance (and your least favourite; YOU are a fireworks judge!) online.

If you've been enjoying the fireworks as much as we have then consider making a donation to make them even better next year. Yes the fireworks are supported by sponsors but it's actually a non-profit society that puts them on each year, and is made possible every year through countless hours from volunteers and the generous support from sponsors and you. If you enjoyed your experience, please feel free to contribute to the festival and help keep the tradition going. Anyone who donates $250 or more will be shipped a limited edition Honda Celebration of Light Event Flag after the fireworks wrap up. These are the ones currently located on Granville and Cambie Bridge and will make great souvenirs! Learn more and donate
