The Go Skate Day crowd congregates at the Plaza for the downtown take-over.
As , yet another epic weekend has passed, which actually marked the "official" start of summer. Andrew "The Boss" Reynolds, Heath Kirchart, Ed Templeton, Kevin "Spanky" Long, Bryan Herman, Leo Romero, Jerry Hsu, Brandon Westgate and 'Lil Jamie Tancowny from the Emerica team were in town for the 6th annual "Go Skateboarding Day" in Vancouver, as part of recently re-proclaimed in our city. The turnout on Sunday, June 21st was enormous. Skaters took over the downtown streets and a few spots for the afternoon while security guards watched in confusion while the police assisted the mass movement by providing an escort and effectively blocking traffic. The roll on the way to a massive BBQ at the Strathcona skatepark towards the end of the day was nothing short of amazing.
