Notice to all who are roommates with a cat: I love Halloween. It is the most glorious time of the year and NOTHING would make me happier this month than to receive photos of cats in costumes all month. If your kitty tolerates, even just for the flip of a shutter, to be dressed in a costume, please send them on over to me with the below questions answered to [email protected] !!

Here are the deets on Mr. Bear, submitted by VIA reader Amanda!

Breed/Colouring: Aspiring lion

Hood: New Westminster

Habits: Squeezing his 20lb body into teeny spaces for squishy slumber and suckling the life out of towels, blankets, and sometimes people. He has a habit of freaking out unless every door in the house is open - this includes cupboards, closets, bedrooms...every. single. door.

Hangouts:On any towel or blanket, regardless of location. The bottom, or at the TOP of his cat post (never the middle.) He also hangs off the back of the arm chair in the living room like a wild cat in the jungle in a tree.

Name: Mr. Bear

Favorite Things: Any and all attention, regardless of what you are doing to him. If you are touching him at all, he loves you, he loves you so damn hard. He loves his green sparkly mouse, his “bird” (which is a bunch of feathers on a string,) his box of cat grass on the balcony, and having his collar bone area scratched. This will even get his back leg shaking if done correctly!

Other Info: "We have had the joy of having Mr. Bear for 2 1/2 years now. He came to us through a work friend. They needed to find him a new home because he wasn't getting a long with the other cats in the house. I am not sure where they got him from. I met him and fell in love. He is large and in charge that is for sure. He needs a big body to go with the larger than life personality he has. Mr. Bear is leash trained and he loves going out to the pet stores with me. I take him with him to my local Bosley's and they love him there. Many times the store manager has asked me if I would just leave him there for the day. People always stop and comment about his size and how huge he is, but also how friendly and calm he is. A small child once was trying to convince their father that he wasn't really a cat because he was too big, it was really cute."

Oh so glam:
