While human interaction may not be in the cards, you can offer a tasty treat to a critter in need to celebrate the spookiest day of the year.

Critter Care Wildlife Society is asking the public for donations so that it can continue to provide care for sick, injured and orphaned mammal species that are native to B.C.

This Halloween season, however, the organization will add a spooktacular treat to each donation.

"This year we are including our fur friends in the Trick or Treat festivities," read a statement from Critter Care. "For every $5.00 donated we will give the animal your choice a goodie bag of their favourite treats."

While the minimum donation for the bone-chilling treat is $5, people may also make larger donations, which will include larger goodies for the animal recipients.
