Here are the deets on Martini, submitted by VIA reader Danielle L!

Breed/Colouring: Martini is a Siamese kitty cocktail

Hood: Tini has toured accommodation all over Vancouver, and is currently settled in East Van.

Habits: Time is no excuse for this demanding diva; she will not hesitate to swat you in the face at 5am to alert you to the condition of her food dish. (Home-cooked salmon is her preference.)

±á²¹²Ô²µ´Ç³Ü³Ù²õ:ÌýAnywhere sunny or warm, including her luxurious heated bathroom floor.

Name: Martini, AKA "Tini"

Favorite Things:  Rolling around in cayenne pepper.

This really confused me. I imagined the possibility of cats taking over the world with giant cayenne powder bombs and how they could go about trotting through the reddened streets unfazed, eating all of the fish products and house plants they could find as defenseless humans cry and claw at their mouths in phlegmy heaps all around. I went on an internet tangent and concluded that it is not toxic to cats, but it can severely irritate eyes and mouths of some cats, just like people. Some cats, it seems, can brave this spice like seasoned pros. Yes, that was a pun I used there. Back to the article at hand. There may be more puns.

Other Info: Martini has been shaken (told you) quite a bit in her klutzy life; she was born to a stray mother with one kidney, has been hit by a car, has fallen out an apartment window, and has been through her share of neighborhood brawls.

Step aside, orange cat; Martini owns this hallway.

Showing off her little pink toes:
