Meet Manxy, submitted by VIA reader Alpha Reagan Wong. Manxy was adopted from the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»SPCA almost two years ago. Here's what Alpha had to say about her:

Nicknames: The Manx, Manxer, Zirry, Piste, and Hamanx

Breed/Colouring: Tortoiseshell Manx

Hood: Fairfield in Victoria but previously Dunbar in Vancouver

Habits: Scaring hummingbirds that approach the window feeder from inside; begging and showing off for chicken and salmon; grooming while sitting upright; going outside supervised to play, explore and sun tan; waking us up at 5:30 am for a middle-of-the-night snack; fetching and retrieving paper balls; munching on fresh oat grass and catnip; scratching cardboard/trees and snuggling. ?

Hangouts: Window sill, her round bed during winter, any Manx-sized patch of colour that is different from the surroundings, endless number of soft fleeces throughout the house, and my lap.?

Other info: After spending 6 months at the BC SPCA, we adopted The Manx on February 26, 2009 from the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»branch. She was the meanest one in the communal room—barely letting us touch her at first as well as hissing/swatting/growling at the other cats. We wondered if one day she would be friendly and affectionate. Well, we didn't have to wait long! The day we brought her home she turned into the sweetest girl. She has the cutest tummy and face, is very talkative and loves going out into the backyard with us. She is very VERY loved, has no tail and one fang.

Name: Manxy
