Peanut's momma VIA reader Michelle Furbacher sent me an email when Peanut was in the hospital, asking if we could please share his tail and help him get back on his paws. He's feeling better now, but we'd still like to direct folks to this "" post on Michelle's blog so y'all can contribute to his Get Better fund. And, oh yeah, here are the deets on Peanut. He is, in a word, awesome:

Breed/Colouring: Tuxedo

Hood: English Bay

Habits: Sitting crossed-pawed, laying on his back, petxting with his canine pal Emily (see photo), eating, eating, snuggling, eating.

Hangouts: Boxes, cave-like structures: under tables, desks and beds. Also can be found walking on my head about an hour before my alarm is supposed to go off.

Other info: Peanut the kitty was found abandoned in the backseat of an old Jaguar in a junkyard. Though he now lives indoors, he maintains his tough junkyard kitty mentality with strangers; it takes a long time to get on Peanut's good side, but the effort is worth it.
