The Metro Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»weather forecast includes a sunny shift to warm temperatures in October 2023.

The Metro Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»weather is expected to warm up significantly ahead of the Thanksgiving long weekend.

Fall kicked off with a tempestuous bang in the Lower Mainland, with a bomb cyclone spurring widespread power outages, as well as wind and thunderstorm warnings.

While the storm tapered off, the final days of September were mostly wet and dreary. October has seen some cloudy days, but a markedly warm and dry pattern appears to have replaced the dismal streak.

On Tuesday, Oct. 3, the Weatherhood Kitsilano station shows a high of 14 C falling to a low of 10 C overnight with mainly cloudy skies. Other areas of the Lower Mainland have seen similar temperatures, including the Burnaby West station, with a high of 16 C and a low of 10 C, and the Surrey City Centre station, with a high of 14 C and a low of 11 C.

Temperatures are expected to warm up substantially across the Lower Mainland, with most places experiencing the first significant jump on Thursday. In Kitsilano, for example, temperatures are expected to climb from 16 C Wednesday to 21 C Thursday.

Friday and Saturday's forecast includes even warmer, more summery weather, with temperatures expected to rise to a high of 25 C on both days. However, the rain may return after that.

The forecast includes a 53 per cent chance of showers Sunday and a 98 per cent Monday.
