V.I.A.'s Downtown Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­Weatherhood station forecasts wet weather to bring rain and showers into the region following a hot, sunny weekend.

Vancouverites may want to keep an umbrella handy next week. 

Hot weather and warm sunshine will persist in the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­region over the weekend before a rainy streak rolls in, according to V.I.A.'s Downtown Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­Weatherhood station

Both Saturday (Aug. 26) and Sunday will be hot and dry, with temperatures reaching up to 30 C on Sunday, just two degrees hotter than Saturday. 

Starting Monday through Wednesday next week, chances of rain will increase and temperatures will dip below 20 C. 

The Weatherhood forecast calls for cloudy skies on Monday with a 54 per cent chance of rain and high of 24 C. Tuesday and Wednesday will both see a high of 17 C and over 80 per cent chance of rain, with the likeliness of wet weather peaking on Wednesday. 

Sunshine is set to return by Thursday when temperatures rise to 19 C and the chance of rain lowers to 36 per cent. The warming trend will continue on Friday with a high of 24 C and only a nine per cent chance of rain.
