Vancouver's bright sunshine will shift to dreary, wet weather starting ahead of the weekend.
On Thursday, May 2, V.I.A.'s Trout Lake Weatherhood station includes a forecast for sunshine and a high of 19 C with a low of 5 C overnight. Some clouds are expected to roll in overnight, increasing cloudiness through Friday. However, Friday's temperatures are expected to climb to 21 C with a low of 8 C; there is a 60 per cent chance of showers overnight (see slide two).
Other neighbourhoods in Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»are expected to have similar weather. Granville Island is expected to reach a high of 20 C on Friday while the Hastings-Sunrise area is expected to reach a high of 21 C.
The downtown core is expected to be slightly cooler on Friday with a high of 19 C.

Wet weather is expected to commence on Saturday, with around 3 mm of precipitation expected. Sunday's forecast includes as much as 8 mm of rainfall.
Monday is also expected to be wet, with up to 9 mm of precipitation.
The showers are expected to taper off by Tuesday and Wednesday's forecast includes a mix of sun and cloud.
May, June, and July are expected to experience above-normal temperatures across Canada, including in the Lower Mainland.
