An organized rainstorm brought the first significant precipitation to the city in weeks, as showers started falling in the wee hours of Monday, July 29.
V.I.A.'s Downtown Centre Weatherhood station shows a high of 18 C with a low of 14 C and up to 13 mm of precipitation, with rain expected to fall through the day until around midnight (see slide two).
Most parts of Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»will also feel cooler with the moisture in the air and some light wind. At 10:30 a.m., the downtown area was measured at 16 C but felt more like 14 C.
Other parts of the city should receive similar amounts of rain on Monday. The Trout Lake area may see a pinch less, with 11 mm of precipitation expected, while South Vancouver is expected to receive 12 mm.
Tuesday's forecast also includes the possibility of some light showers, with precipitation amounts of 3 mm expected in the downtown area. Temperatures are expected to be slightly warmer, with a high of 20 C and a low of 17 C.

Wednesday's forecast includes a shift to clearer skies and warmer weather in the city. A high of 23 C and a low of 17 C is expected with a mix of sun and cloud.
Thursday's forecast also includes a mix of sun and cloud but temperatures are expected to climb a few degrees above seasonal to a high of 26 C for the first day of August.
The heating trend is expected to persist through Friday, with a high of 28 C expected.
