Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­weather: Cooler temperatures and midweek rainstorm

No extreme weather is forecast but conditions will shift a couple of times this week.

"Juneuary" may include more showery bouts before Canada Day kicks off a new month in Vancouver.

The seven-day Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­weather forecast includes the chance of showers most days this week, although no torrential rain is expected. 

V.I.A.'s Downtown Centre Weatherhood station shows a high of 20 C and a low of 13 C with mainly sunny skies to kick off the week on Monday, June 24 (see slide two). 

Following above-average heat last week, this week's temperatures align with regional averages for this time of year. Average highs trend around 19.5 C and lows around 11.9 C, based on Environment Canada's historical climate data. 

Tuesday's forecast for downtown Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­includes a mix of sun and cloud with temperatures climbing a couple of degrees to a high of 22 C. Increasing cloudiness may transition to showers on Wednesday; the forecast includes a 74 per cent chance of wet weather with rainfall amounts up to 5 mm.

Temperatures in Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­are also expected to drop a few degrees during the day on Wednesday, falling to a high of 18 C.

Cooler, wetter weather is also expected on Thursday. Up to 7 mm of rainfall is expected with a high of 15 C. 

Friday's forecast includes a shift to drier, warmer conditions with a high of 19 C. 

The Canada Day long weekend includes warming temperatures but some wet weather is possible. Saturday may see temperatures climb to 22 C while Sunday is expected to be slightly cooler, with the daytime high expected to reach 19 C.
