Grab the umbrella: 20 mm of rain expected to fall in Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Tuesday

The rain is going to hold steady through the morning in Vancouver

A soggy Tuesday is underway in Vancouver, with the city likely to see about 20 mm of rainfall in most neighbourhoods today (May 28).

Morning commute temps across the city are steady at around 11-12 C and not expected to warm up much more through the day.

V.I.A.'s Granville Island neighbourhood Weatherhood station is forecasting a high of 14 C by the early evening. Dunbar will likely get up to about 13-14 C by the afternoon, while the UBC Weatherhood station forecasts a high of just 13 C Tuesday.

With rainfall expected through the morning, Weatherhood's wettest neighbourhoods so far are Downtown Centre, Yaletown, False Creek, Jericho, and Mount Pleasant.

In the Downtown Centre, the chance of rain drops by early afternoon and decreases into the evening, with higher winds starting around lunchtime.

For those travelling outside of the Lower Mainland and into B.C.'s Interior region, Environment Canada has issued a alerting drivers to possible snowfall in the mountain passes at Coquihalla Summit and Allison Pass for Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.
