Over 3,000 lower mainland B.C. Hydro customers remain in the dark Wednesday morning after over night winds knocked down trees and power lines.
 swept across Metro Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»starting Tuesday night, affecting hundreds in neighbourhoods in Surrey, Richmond, Burnaby, Langley, and multiple Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»areas, including Kitsilano, Dunbar-Southlands, and South Vancouver.
At the peak of the winds over night, about 20,000 customers across the lower mainland were without power. Fortunately some of the outages were addressed in the following hours, however B.C. Hydro expects to be facing the remaining outages Wednesday morning.
Environment Canada issued a rain and wind warning Tuesday for the region. While the rain warning was lifted Tuesday night, the wind warning remained in effect far into the night.
In Vancouver, the strongest gusts were between 10 pm Tuesday and 1 am Wednesday, however the warning was subsequently lifted.
Vancouver's Wednesday forecast calls for continued showers, a chance of thunderstorms in the daytime, wind, and a steady temp of 9°C.
