Stock up on popsicles and put on that tank top: Environment Canada has issued a Heat Warning in Metro Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»for today and Thursday.

More hot weather is blanketing the region, including the City of Vancouver, Burnaby, New West, Coquitlam, Maple Ridge, Surrey, Langley, Richmond, Delta, North Vancouver, and West Vancouver.

Maximum temperatures will reach the upper twenties near the water and the low to mid thirties inland. Overnight minimums will only recover to the mid to upper teens.

Those low- to mid-thirties mean that inland temps could become the new high bar for temps this summer in Metro Vancouver--Environment Canada is calling for 34C today and 33C tomorrow in inland areas. In fact, those areas could set the regional high temp of 2018 today.

Relief is, allegedly, in sight, with cooling due Friday and Saturday, and weekend fun is predicted to be marred by the chance of showers Saturday and Sunday.

If the heat has your head feeling a little fried on how to handle the weather, the City of Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»has a few tips for you:
