The Proof - Corey Adams

Corey Adams is a talented and creative cinematographer and director. He has worked on various films, photoshoots, and music videos and is the guy behind the web series Swamp Donkey and Bangmaster General's Warning.

Corey Adams is a talented and creative cinematographer and director. He has worked on various films, photoshoots, and music videos and is the guy behind the web series Swamp Donkey and Bangmaster General's Warning. Corey is currently finishing up his second feature length film, Machotaildrop. This film was the result of winning a $1 million dollar production budget grant from Experiment (2006), for his first feature, , which won Best Film.  Corey is currently living abroad in Paris, but managed to take some time out of his day to send us a Proof.

The Proof

1. This is the view from my desk, there is a man in one of the lower windows who is always playing Amazing Moroccan music.
2. A small bottle of pure absinthe. just incase I need some instant inspiration. I will let you know what happens after this gets consumed.
3. The little shop in front of my place. I think it would make a great skate shop.
4. The garbage bags that are always lying around the court yard. I always smile when I see these.
5. The coffee from my favorite spot just down the way.
6. My computer where most of what I'm doing right now takes place. This is a little piece of the new film "Machotaildrop" that is almost finished. Really it is. Really.
7. Just a few objects I like to keep close to me while working.
8. This is the market where I buy my vegetables and cheese. The men selling here are always yelling at the top of their lungs while the metro runs over top creating a small earthquake every five minutes. It's total madness.

The Questions

What do you do and where?

I make films and videos. This can take place all over. In the past year I have been working in Vancouver, San Francisco, Hungary, Slovenia, and now in Paris.

What neighborhood do you live in?

I'm living in Paris right now but when in Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­I am usually living in Mount Pleasant. (I hope this doesn't disqualify me. I will be back)

What are you working on?

Just finishing up the edit of Machotaildrop. Shooting a short movie that I am just in pre-production for. I also just did some acting the other day on a french TV Pilot. Very strange experience. And in the evenings I'm writing a new feature.

Where can we find your work?

Nowhere. That's how it seems at least. You can see some of the small video stuff I have done on but the bigger films seem to be very hard to see. Although we should be having a screening of our new film in Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­in a few months.
