Local business owners Kevin Dhaliwal and Bryan Slusarchuk bought the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) team back in September 2022.
The former Fraser Valley Bandits have rebranded as the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Bandits in hopes of winning the hearts of more sports fans in the city.
In August 2023, the Bandits will host the CEBL championship weekend at the Langley Events Centre.
Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» spoke with Bandit forward Thomas Kennedy, who was awarded the 2022 CEBL U Sports Player of the Year.
"The trophy will obviously be coming to Langley for the championship weekend and we hope to make it stay there," Kennedy said.
