If you're going to San Francisco, be sure to wear some flowers in your hair — and make sure you take advantage of the sale on flights out of Vancouver.
Discount carrier Flair Airlines is offering 50 per cent off base fares on multiple cities as part of its "red, white, new sale" for travel until June 26. The sale ends on March 17 at 11:59 p.m. and the only blackout date is April 18.
Travellers can find discounts on routes to Nashville, New York, San Francisco, and Chicago. However, not all of these routes service Vancouver. That said, you can take advantage of them by flying from Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»to Toronto or another Canadian city and then continuing on from there. This may give you a significantly cheaper fare.
For example, an already low-cost flight departing Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»on May 29 is marked down to $92.55 CAD including all taxes and fees.
Canada is dropping the coronavirus testing requirement for fully vaccinated travellers.
The federal government will make an announcement on Thursday (March 17) that it's dropping the pre-arrival COVID-19 test requirement at airports and land border crossings, effective April 1, according to the Surrey Board of Trade.
