While they are usually creatures to avoid in the forest, this adventure brings you up-close-and-personal with wolves on this epic hike through the wilderness.
Located in Golden, allows you to walk alongside the majestic beasts as you follow an experienced guide through the forest.
Of course, these aren't completely wild animals, as they were bred in captivity. With that in mind, they are still pure-bred wolves, and every bit as large as their wild counterparts.
No reservations are required for the tour, and the wolf pack is ready when you arrive! The centre also offers a photography hike, but a reservation is required.
What's more, the centre offers a 25 minute interpretive talk about wolves and their role in the environment.
The wolves live in large enclosures at the wolf centre and are grouped together with other members from the pack that get along with each other. Further, each canine gets out to stretch its legs a few times a week for a run in the wilderness.
Dogs or other pets are not permitted on the property. The wolf pack is territorial, and therefore this policy is strictly enforced for the safety of pets and guests.
