The Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Island getaway of Tofino has become somewhat of a favourite travel destination over the years. I gave it my Editor's Pick in the category of our back in 2014 and it's a place I often find myself daydreaming about. My family has had the pleasure of staying at the majority of the big lodges that are located just out of town, and I'd recommend Cox Bay Beach Resort, The Wickaninnish Inn, Long Beach Lodge and Pacific Sands (the latter being a current favourite). However while they're all located right on the beach and you don't have to go far to take in amazing views and fresh air, we always find ourselves driving a few minutes into town to take advantage of the food options. Kuma, Sobo, The Shelter, Wolf in the Fog and all of the other restaurants beckon us into the heart of the small town, twice a day, and during our most recent trip I was quite thrilled to stay in a new, architecturally designed house (a private lodge!) within walking distance of all of them: .
The nightly rate during the shoulder season (now until May 31st) is only $300 for the entire house! In the regular season it's $500, which is still an incredible deal considering not only the luxury of the accommodations but the proximity to town, and the fact that it's 2,300 sq ft with multiple bedrooms, and multiple families could chip in and stay together (perfect for large groups traveling together). Have a look at the inn in this quick video I put together below. Also, is a photo gallery.
is a family run operation, owned and operated by Blake Klopfenstein (shown below with his son, Levi) and his wife, Laura. Blake also runs , a company you can hire to take you out fishing in the pristine waters off the West coast of the island. I've with them, as well as and went on a for steelhead that I will never forget.

Big thanks to The Angler's Inn for hosting us, and to BC Ferries for getting us onto the island!
