If you’ve ever stayed up until two a.m. hunting for the perfect kitchen table because you’re sick of awkwardly eating pad thai on the couch while you watch television (no? too specific? just me?), you’ll definitely appreciate how much of a pain it can be slogging through page after page of mostly terrible furniture pieces on Kijiji or Craigslist. Fortunately, there’s a new website in town that aims to make shopping for second-hand home accessories much, much easier.

The 2014  Awards are back for their 35th year with their annual ceremony happening on June 23rd at Harbourfront Centre’s WestJet Stage at 235 Queens Quay West in Toronto. The awards, named after a well-loved teacher and director who helped establish Canadian professional theatre in the 1930s and 1940s, recognizes the creators of over 200 theatre, dance and opera productions annually in six major categories.

I took a tour of Vancouver’s newest brewery recently. Just opened,  is located in a 1913 heritage building at 261 East 7th, in the heart of the old Brewery district. Historically, beer makers in the area would take their water from Brewery Creek (which was rerouted into an underground tunnel decades ago) and create beers for loggers and other industrial workers who worked in and inhabited the area.
