Her sister ship, the Norwegian Bliss, wowed onlookers at Canada Place terminal last year. Now, the Norwegian Joy marks her North American debut with a summer of Alaska cruising.
In addition, the statuesque vessel will also have a Pacific Coastal cruise this fall down from Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»to L.A. What's more, the sailing will include stops in Victoria and San Francisco.
The Joy is like a floating Emerald City, and her accommodations include The Haven – a luxury enclave with suites, a private pool and dining, concierge service and 24-hour availability personal butlers. The Haven is like a smaller ‘ship within a ship’ and aptly named for cruisers who want to access the entertainment, dining and shopping amenities available on a large capacity ship while avoiding the associated crowds during down-time and enjoying the relaxation and luxurious pampering that are the signatures of the world’s top luxury cruise lines.
The 5-Day Pacific Coastal Charms cruise departs Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»on Oct. 6 and disembarks in L.A. on Oct.11. The total cost for an interior cabin for two is $1272.08 CAD including tax, which breaks down to $636.04 per person.
Not only does that cost include your transportation on a beautiful 5 star vessel, but it also includes meals, entertainment, snacks, and lodging. The only thing it doesn’t factor in is alcohol, but you may opt to purchase a drink package that can reduce the cost of your spending.
Discover L.A. and the Norwegian Joy
Built in 2017 by Meyer Werft GmbH in Papenburg, Germany, the Joy is the 15th ship in the Norwegian fleet. The 21-day dry-dock in Singapore and five-day wet-dock in Seattle outfitted the ship with a redesigned pool deck, an enhanced go-kart speedway for race-car enthusiasts, and an expanded observation lounge. The ship also features an advanced arcade for virtual reality gamers.
Guests may opt to stay in Los Angeles for a while and enjoy the vibrant nightlife, decadent eateries, trendy shops, and much more. From the Hollywood Hills to beautiful, sandy beaches, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Los Angeles is best enjoyed by car, and therefore it is a good idea to rent one while staying in the city. What’s more, it is important to chose a hotel or alternative accommodation in advance. Many of these places fill up well before travel, and you’ll want to chose an area that is suitable to the type of experience you wish to enjoy.
A flight back from L.A. is very inexpensive when booked in advance. In fact, the total cost may be under $150 CAD including tax.
