A found the most expensive Canadian destinations for hotel stays near New Year's Eve, and Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»made the list.
The survey compared the cost of an overnight hotel stay on New Year's Eve across 20 Canadian travel destinations, recording the price for the cheapest available double room in centrally-located hotels rated at least three stars.
The most expensive destination in Canada for an overnight stay on New Year's Eve is the city of Mont-Tremblant, Quebec, which is known for its ski resort, with a rate of $880 for the least expensive room.
Compared to regular rates in the winter season, the city's New Year's Eve prices increased almost 300 per cent.
B.C.'s most popular and North America's largest ski resort, Whistler, took second place as the most expensive destination with an overnight stay costing $658.
Banff, Alberta, came in third with a rate of $563, after a price hike of 233 per cent.
Vancouver, though did make the list, ranked tenth place with a New Year's Eve stay costing $325. The rate is 170 per cent more than winter regular rates in the city.
Nonetheless, Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»and Toronto came out to be the priciest of the largest Canadian city, with Calgary and Ottawa trailing behind.
