Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»residents who are looking to fly to Mexico in 2019 for under $400 CAD return will be hard-pressed to find a ticket now.

Unfortunately, Mexico is one of the top travel destinations for Canadians, and while there are a number of great deals available, they sell out several months in advance. Although there may be a couple of last minute deals, there isn't ever a guarantee that one will become available on desirable dates. As a result, it is always advised to book well in advance.

For example, the flight below, which departs on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 from Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»to Merida, Mexico, offers a round-trip ticket for only $358.09 CAD including all taxes and fees. It returns on Wednesday, March 11, and passengers will fly with Aeromexico. What's more, March tends to be one of the best times to visit the vibrant city, when the humidity is lower.

Discover Merida

As the capital city of Yucatán province, Merida is a dynamic metropolis with a wealth of history and culture. While many tourists flock to the sun-soaked beaches of Cancun, this Mexican city serves as the ideal base for visiting a number of the region's most incredible offerings. For example, tourists may visit UNESCO-listed archaeological sites such as the Pre-Hispanic city of Chichén Itzá - a complex of Mayan ruins on the Yucatán Peninsula. This fascinating historical site includes a massive step pyramid, known as El Castillo, as well as graphic stone carvings.

Visitors may also embark on a shaman-led healing journey at the Chablé Resort and Spa. The resort features its own cenote - a crystal-clear groundwater pool that is considered a sacred pool - where the shaman performs the ceremony.
