WestJet's discount carrier will cease operations starting this fall -- but travellers can snap up some low-cost flights right now.
Swoop does not have any bookable flights beyond Oct. 28, as the carrier hasn't published a schedule beyond that date. The airline's 16 bright-pink, narrow-body 737s will be repainted with the blue and turquoise of WestJet's livery after it finishes the current schedule.
But travellers who enjoy low-cost fares out of Abbotsford International Airport (YXX) can take advantage of low-cost flights out of the airport with WestJet's current sale.
The airline currently has several discounted flights available across its network, including ones from Hamilton, Ontario. From Abbotsford, travellers can enjoy one-way flights for only $42 including all taxes and fees to Edmonton or Calgary.
There are also one-way options available from Abbotsford to Puerto Vallarta and Los Cabos for under $199 including all taxes and fees.
Cheap flights to Mexico with WestJet
The sale does not apply to flights from Nov. 10-14, Dec 21-24, and Feb. 16-17, 2024.
Seats are selling out quickly, but some remaining low-cost options are available, such as a flight to PVR on Jan.16, 204 for $197.74 or a flight to SJD on Jan.14 for $197.74.
