Are you feeling lucky?
Locals looking to visit the Emerald Isle for less don't need to rely on the "luck of the Irish" to score a sweet deal.
Right now, WestJet is offering a few tickets in the fall that cost at least half the price of a regular ticket from the Lower Mainland.
The least expensive flights for similar trips to Dublin usually cost between $810 CAD to $1,850 CAD, with ticket prices soaring over $1,200 CAD for return summer trips.
If you're looking for a dramatically lower fare, a return WestJet trip departing Abbotsford on Oct. 19 and returning on Oct. 27 costs $475.41 CAD including all taxes and fees. It only makes one short layover in Calgary in either direction, too.

For folks who prefer to fly out of Vancouver, there's an option in the same price range, but they'll have to endure two stops on the outbound journey, rather than one. One of the stops is in Kelowna, and it is quite short; the other is a short layover in Calgary.
Thankfully, the return flight only has one stop in Calgary for a couple of hours. The flights need to be booked separately in order to snag this deal (check out the full itinerary in the photo gallery at the top of this story).
The first flight is roughly $166.39 EUR, which works out to approximately $224.48 CAD. The other is $257.16 CAD and so your total ticket price should work out to under $481.64 CAD including all taxes and fees.

Flights to Vancouver: Explore Dublin and Ireland
Dublin offers a litany of things to do and see, as well as the perfect place to begin your Irish adventure. While you're in the city you'll be privy to numerous eateries, shops, and, of course, world-famous pubs. If you are looking to venture outside of the city, you'll be able to soak in the stunning beauty of the countryside.
Located three hours from Dublin, the stunning Cliffs of Moher is Ireland's most visited tourist attraction. These spectacular cliffs rise an incredible 702 feet at their highest point, just north of O'Brien's Tower. The majestic rock faces are an awe-inspiring sight to behold — many people spend half of their day viewing them in all of their rugged glory.
