Travellers looking for cheap flights from Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»to Paris can find multiple options in the new year.
A tourist looking for an Emily in Paris moment or to visit landmarks like the Eiffel Tower or the Arc du Triomphe can find several options directly through airlines instead of third-party suppliers.
Prices for flights to the City of Light increase significantly during December but drop in January after the winter holidays. Travellers can find options for one-way trips from Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»International Airport (YVR) to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) starting for under $300 after Jan. 15, 2025, and continuing through the beginning of March.
For example, a flight departing on Friday, Feb. 28 from Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»that stops in Kelowna and Calgary costs $292 directly through WestJet. Travellers only spend just over an hour in Kelowna and just under three in Calgary en route to the French capital (see slide two).
Travellers looking for low-cost options on one-way trips in March won't have as much luck. Prices increase significantly after the first week of the month, starting at upwards of $400 on March 11.
Booking a one-way ticket to Paris and another ticket back from a different city may reduce the round-trip ticket cost. This option is also ideal for travellers visiting more than one country on their holiday.
Round-trip flights from Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»to Paris in early 2025
Travellers who prefer to stick to France for the entirety of their trip can find several low-cost options in the new year with only one stop.
Icelandair and WestJet offer round-trip options from Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»for under $600 on multiple dates starting after January 2025.
For example, Icelandair has an itinerary with only one stop in its hub city, Reykjavík, which departs Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»on March 18 and returns from Paris on April 2 for only $549 (see slide three).
Tickets booked through some third parties are slightly cheaper, starting for as little as $517 with select agencies. However, travellers should ensure they book with a reputable company and that the booking rules aren't more restrictive. It might be easier to deal directly with the airline.
According to Google Flights, this trip is considered low for the economy class or roughly $970 cheaper than usual.
Travellers looking for a direct option don't have to pay an exorbitant price for a ticket.
Air France has non-stop flights on round-trip itineraries starting at $758 as early as November (see slide four).
All prices are in Canadian dollars.
