Deal alert: You can fly from Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»to Montreal for only $97

Tickets are hundreds of dollars less for a winter getaway.

Metro Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»travellers looking for a French experience without travelling across the pond can enjoy ultra-cheap airfare to Montreal in the new year.

Tickets to the City of Saints currently cost significantly less in January 2025 than during the rest of the year.

Flights from Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»International Airport (YVR) to Pierre Elliot Trudeau Airport (YUL) in Montreal drop by hundreds of dollars after the winter holidays, even on the price of one-way flights.

For example, a flight departing Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»on Jan. 23 at 6 a.m. makes one stop in Edmonton for two-and-a-half hours before arriving in Montreal. The ticket costs $97 through a third-party supplier or $108 directly through WestJet (see slide three).

Travellers who prefer to fly with other airlines have several options in the same price range. They may also want to note WestJet's booking restrictions in its lowest fare class, UltraBasic, which doesn't include carry-on luggage or ticket changes.

According to Google Flights, this price is considered low for the economy and is about $278 cheaper than usual (see slide four).

Porter's prices are only slightly higher, starting at $139 for the one-way flight, although it is direct. Additionally, the carrier includes several free perks, even in its lowest class. For example, all passengers can enjoy free snacks, beer, and wine; the airline also offers complimentary WiFi (see slide two).

Round-trip Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»to Montreal flights

Travellers flying on round-trip tickets to Quebec's largest city can also enjoy the same ultra-low fares with WestJet on one-stop itineraries.

A flight departing Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»on Jan. 14 and returning from Montreal on Jan. 23 costs $225 through a third-party supplier or $245 directly through WestJet. The itinerary includes a stop in Edmonton in both directions. The first is two-and-a-half hours with the second is just over half an hour (see slide five).

According to Google Flights, this price is considered low for economy and is about $226 cheaper than usual (see slide six).
