While it might seem unbelievable, a new flight deal will allow you to travel across Canada under $30 this spring.
As part of its Three Day Sale, Swoop, WestJet's discount carrier, is offering huge savings on spring fares across Canada. However, these low fares sell out quickly.
For example, travellers looking to fly from Abbotsford to London, Ontario may enjoy one-way fares of $29 CAD including all taxes and fees. For Hamilton, Ontario travellers can expect to pay $49 CAD for a one-way fare.
In total, 13,650 seats available for travel between Mar. 3, 2020 and May 27, 2020. The sale ends Thursday, Feb. 6 a midnight or while seats last. Blackout dates include the following: Mar. 20 - 23, 2020; Mar. 26 - March 30, 2020; Apr. 9 - 14, 2020; May 14 - 19, 2020.
Flying Swoop: What to know before you go
Since Swoop flies out of Abbotsford, Vancouverites have to make a trip into the Fraser Valley in order to catch their flights. As a result, many locals skip the low-cost option because they don’t want to spend the extra time or money getting to the airport.
For those who are looking to save, but don’t want to spend big bucks on a cab or leaving their car at the airport, there is an alternative: Reliable Bus. Find out more information about the cost-effective transit option here.
Note: While the low-cost carrier is an extremely affordable alternative, it is worthwhile to note that there are a number of additional costs. For one, luggage will cost extra, as will selecting your own seat or even speaking to an operator. As such, it is worthwhile to factor in what you need to bring, or if you want to sit in a particular spot.
