British Columbians looking to travel across the country have several inexpensive options to choose from this winter.
Flair Airlines, a low-cost Canadian carrier, is offering deals out of 麻豆传媒映画International Airport (YVR) and Abbotsford International Airport (YXX) at a steal.
Locals looking to travel to Ontario will find the lowest fares by flying out of Abbotsford, with prices for one-way direct flights starting at $49 CAD including all taxes and fees. Return flights are roughly the same price, which means a round-trip ticket to Toronto costs under $100 CAD.
Vancouverites looking to fly directly out of YVR have several inexpensive options, with one-way flights starting as low as $89 CAD including all taxes and fees. There are a range of dates available this winter and early spring, too.
Earlier this year, Flair announced that it will offer several flights out of the Lower Mainland to popular tourist destinations south of the border.
The budget Canadian airline will now offer non-stop, low-fare flights between eight Canadian cities and six U.S destinations: Fort Lauderdale, Orlando-Sanford, Phoenix-Mesa, Hollywood-Burbank, Palm Springs and Las Vegas.
On Thursday (Oct. 21), Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced that all provinces and territories have agreed to issue the standardized passport, while Ottawa will be covering the costs through its own federal budget.
Starting Oct. 30, all travellers from Canadian airports, and travellers on VIA Rail and Rocky Mountaineer trains must be fully vaccinated. That said, there will be a grace period where they may show a valid COVID-19 molecular test within 72 hours of travel as an alternative to providing proof of full vaccination. However, starting Nov. 30, travellers who have not started the vaccination process may risk not qualifying.
