Looking for a happy holiday destination on a budget?
According to a new report, you might already be living in one.
ClubMed has released its collection of the world's happiest holiday destinations in 2022 and Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»was included in the top ten cities.
Using data on the 50 most visited tourist destinations globally, the company used nine metrics to determine which cities are the "happiest for a holiday": crime index, safety, pollution, cost of domestic beer, number of outdoor activities by 100,000 population, number of day trips by 100,000 population, number of spas and wellness centres by 100,000 population, LGBTQ+ friendliness, and a happiness score.
The data revealed that Bali, Indonesia is the happiest destination in the world in 2022 for travellers looking for a blissful escape.
"Bali came out on top due to the incredible spa and wellness centres it has to offer and amazing outdoor activities – perfect for those looking for both relaxation and adventure on their holiday," explained report authors.
Las Vegas followed Bali and was described as the "place to be" for adventure. That said, it also received a high score for safety.
New Orleans came third, with Barcelona ranked as the fourth-happiest holiday destination in 2022. The report notes that both city were great options for people searching for an LGBTQ+ friendly destination. Amersterdam rounded out the top five.
Budapest in Hungary came sixth, followed by Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»in seventh. San Francisco was the eighth-happiest city, with Dubai coming ninth. Rio de Janeiro, Brazil claimed the final spot in the top 10.

The largest city in B.C. is also the happiest holiday destination in Canada and the third-most blissful spot in North America, according to ClubMed.
Las Vegas claimed the top spot on the list, followed by New Orleans in second. San Francisco was ranked the fourth-happiest city after Vancouver.
Washington, D.C. rounded out the top five.
Los Angeles was ranked the sixth happiest city, while Portland came seventh. Two other Canadian cities made appearances on the list, Toronto and Halifax, placing eighth and ninth, respectively.
Nashville rounded out the top 10.
Travellers looking for pleasant, stress-free travel in Europe will find the best experience in Barcelona, according to the report.
Amsterdam followed Barcelona in second, with Budapest, Hungary placing third. Porto in Portugal came fourth, with Marseille, France rounding out the top five.
Madrid, Dublin, London, Valencia, and Milan also made appearances on the list.
