Are we still awesome, Vancouver? Yep. According to people who love to travel, that is.
Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»has once again landed on the the readers' choice lists of Best Cities in the World in both the U.S. and UK versions of Condé Nast's travel publications.
The awards, voted on by the public, were revealed last month, and Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»is still a global favourite among the jet set.
For CN Traveler (out of the U.S.), Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»landed in the 10th spot on their list of the to visit for 2018; editors there say that city travel is so popular (they had 429,000 votes submitted), they split the list of cities around the globe into two, sorting out the small and the big. Last year, Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»placed 8th on the same ranking.
While we dropped in favour with CNT, they still used the same blurb to describe our fair city as in 2017, and it's feeling even more out of date (sorry CNT) than it did a year ago:
"Seaport Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»has a competitive and creative arts scene, rugged natural beauty, and no shortage of things to do. As one of Canada’s most ethnically diverse cities, it’s also one of the country’s best ´Ú´Ç´Ç»åÌýcities: After you’ve taken a cable car up Grouse Mountain, return to the city for Indian fare at Vij’s, a French bistro experience at Farmer's Apprentice, or tagine at Moroccan-inspired Medina."

Meanwhile, Condé Nast Traveller, the U.K. version of the publication, also featured Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»on their 2018 list of the Best Cities in the World. They have all urban hot spots on one list, and Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»lands 18 out of 20.
The bottom line is (and it's no secret) but tourist like us. They really, really like us.
