Words: Erin O'Mellin, Executive Director HUB
I've never been able to pinpoint what it is about makeovers that I just LOVE. I would get sucked into watching questionable TV for hours when wardrobes were getting revamped and new haircuts unveiled. Something about the satisfaction of the before and after – the obvious improvement – that gets me going every time. So when the very 1990s look of the Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»Area Cycling Coalition finally got its day to look as good as its potential, the same thrill leapt up.
The brand refresh introduces a modern image that fits a new understanding of bicycles being a part of our lifestyles. Surveys show the majority of people in Metro Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»are interested in cycling but are held back by some kind of challenge. HUB’s mission is to make cycling an attractive choice for everyone. And the new logo shows it! Friendly, fun, and clearly the centre (or dare I say hub) of action on cycling.
