Ferries cancelled due to high winds

B.C. Ferries has cancelled several sailings today because of high winds.

Cancellations on B.C. Ferries website include: Comox (Little River) 鈥 Powell River (Westview); 麻豆传媒映画(Tsawwassen) 鈥 Nanaimo (Duke Point); 麻豆传媒映画(Tsawwassen) 鈥 Victoria (Swartz Bay); and 麻豆传媒映画(Tsawwassen) 鈥 Nanaimo (Duke Point).

B.C. Ferries鈥 update just past 9 a.m. confirmed the Coastal Celebration has cancelled its 11 a.m. sailing departing Tsawwassen and its 1 p.m. sailing departing Swartz Bay 鈥渄ue to adverse weather conditions 鈥 high winds.鈥

The Coastal Inspiration has also cancelled its noon sailing departing Swartz Bay in North Saanich and 2 p.m. departing Tsawwassen in Vancouver.

In Nanaimo, the Queen of New Westminster has cancelled its 10:15 a.m sailing departing Tsawwassen and its 12:45 p.m. departing Duke Point.

Meanwhile, mechanical difficulty with the Queen of Coquitlam鈥檚 propeller pitch has seen the cancellation of the: 5:15 a.m. departing Duke Point; 7:45 a.m. departing Tsawwassen; 10:15 a.m. departing Duke Point and 12:45 p.m. departing Tsawwassen.

The Salish Orca departing Comox at 6:20 a.m. and Powell River at 8:05 a.m. was cancelled due to high winds, in addition to the 10 a.m. departing Comox (Little River) and the 11:50 a.m. departing Powell River (Westview).
