Not exactly a smooth start to the Friday heading into a long weekend for Vancouver's commuters, as the Canada Line is experiencing a service disruption.
TransLink says the Canada Line has a track issue that has led to significantly reduced service between Langara-49th and Broadway-City Hall stations.
Canada Line customers should expect lengthy delays, says the transit agency.
Customers heading into Waterfront must change trains at Langara-49th Avenue Station and again at Broadway-City Hall Station. Customers heading to Richmond and the airport must also change at these stations.
A bus bridge will be in place to connect Langara to Broadway-City Hall. The bus will also pick up passengers at Oakridge-41st and King Edward stations.
Riders seeking alternative routes to SkyTrain are encouraged to consult the and select "Exclude SkyTrain" under advanced search settings, or contact their customer information desk at 604-953-3333 for trip planning advice.
Due to track issue, Canada Line passengers may need to transfer at Langara Stn, Broadway City Hall Stn, and Marine Dr Stn. Bus bridge between Broadway City Hall Stn-Marine Dr Stn. M-Line/Expo Line unaffected. ^AR
