Friday's winter storm has prompted BC Ferries to cancel several sailings on numerous routes.
In an "Important Travel Advisory," BC Ferries details morning cancellations due to heavy wind on major and smaller routes across their service into early Friday afternoon, with the status of later sailings as-yet undetermined.

Tsawwassen-Swartz Bay: 7 a.m., 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m. cancelled

Swartz Bay-Tsawwassen: 7 a.m., 9 a.m. 11 a.m., noon, 1 p.m. cancelled

Tsawwassen-Duke Point: 5:15 a.m., 7:45 a.m., 10:15 a.m., 12:45 p.m. cancelled

Duke Point-Tsawwassen: 5:15 a.m., 7:45 a.m., 10:15 a.m., 12:45 p.m. cancelled

Tsawwassen-Gulf Islands: all sailings before 12:30 p.m. cancelled

BC Ferries is urging passengers who plan to travel with them today to check the status of their sailing(s) as soon as possible.
Those with reservations who do not check in and whose trips are cancelled will have their reservation fees automatically refunded.
"Once sailings resume, customers will bo loaded beginning with those reserved on the scheduled sailing, followed by the remaining customers in the order they arrived at the terminal," explains BC Ferries.
If your travel plans with BC Ferries includes the weekend, take note that the weather may continue to affect service on Saturday and Sunday.
