The Yaletown Business Improvement Association (YBIA) is proud to announce its 8th annual free winter festival, CandyTown. November 30th from 12 - 7:00p.m. in Downtown Vancouver.

It’s back!

Downtown Vancouver’s only free winter festival is expected to draw thousands of locals looking to celebrate another year of holiday cheer.

will transform Mainland, Hamilton and Davie streets into an absolute winter wonderland, complete with horse-drawn carriage rides, live music, pop-up vendors, astounding ice sculptures and the all-new “Winter Is Coming” area.

Expect twinkling lights, candy cane adorned lamp poles and costumed characters parading down the street as holiday shoppers get a headstart on seasonal gift buying. Yaletown shops will be open alongside the “All I Want For Christmas” street market, featuring local merchants, unique gifts and holiday treats.

Every year, CandyTown welcomes an estimated 15,000 people to Yaletown, each eager to shop, hop and participate in some good ol’ fashioned holiday fun. Returning favourites to this year’s CandyTown include photos with Santa and The Ice Queen, plus new features like the “sleigh-ing” of the winter dragon; an amazing swordplay demonstration by Academie Duello.

Grown-ups take note: this year, CandyTown is bringing back the self-guided for visitors aged 19+. Enjoy special concoctions crafted in the spirit of CandyTown only available the day of the event. No word if there will be eggnog, but there’s only one way to find out!

The YBIA is proud to support ​BC Children’s Hospital​​ ​Starlight Children’s Foundation​ and the ​Rotary Club,​ with proceeds from photos with Santa and the horse-drawn carriage rides going directly to these organizations.
