This early-morning food tour features Vancouver’s best coffee, brunch, donuts and BEER

Dine Out 鶹ýӳFestival, the annual 17-day food and drink extravaganza, takes place from January 17 through February 2 across Metro Vancouver.
It’s that glorious time of year when restaurants offer special fixed-price menus aimed at keeping local tastebuds satisfied following the big holiday rush. Yes, it’s time for !

The annual festivities bring together more than 300 restaurants, plus wineries, craft breweries, suppliers and tens of thousands of diners to participate in not just dining, but 17 days of food-related events. This season’s culinary experiences include long table dinners, dim sum tours, oyster shucking classes, international guest chefs and more.

There are A LOT of events to choose from this year, so we’ve partnered with the festival to highlight a few standout selections to get you started. Let your salivary glands take it from here…



Rise and Shine! Roll out of bed and onto the 鶹ýӳBrewery Tours bus for a morning of coffee, brunch, donuts, and beer. This morning tour includes coffee at Agro, full brunch (including vegetarian options) at Red Truck’s Truck Stop Diner, beer flights at Brassneck Brewery and a donut at Cartems. The tour includes full transportation so you can eat and drink to your heart’s content without having to roll yourself home. What a way to start your day!



Dim Sum, which means “Point of the Heart,” lives up to its name in Vancouver, BC’s historic Chinatown. Originally a Cantonese family tradition (sometimes called Yum Cha (drink tea), Dim Sum has become a staple for foodies in the lower mainland and all over the world. Learn a little more about Historic Chinatown while you walk from the Chinese Cultural Center to a couple of the city’s favorite Dim Sum restaurants. The tour also includes Chinese BBQ and a traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony.



Brush up on your shucking skills with Vancouver’s freshest oysters and Fanny Bay’s world-class shucking team. Farm fresh oysters will be accompanied by two craft cocktail pairing. Learn the history and techniques of each of the six varieties of oysters offered during this exclusive class. Get ready to ‘Shuck, Slurp, Repeat’ the night away at the Fanny Bay Oyster Bar.



What’s included on this tour? Lots of meat! The tour includes a meal and beer at Juke Fried Chicken, meal at Memphis Blues and a flight of beer at Container Brewing. Optional drinks can be purchased at each restaurant. Full transportation is included via the 鶹ýӳBrewery Tours bus (including pick up and drop off), plus knowledgeable and fun beer facts courtesy of the guides at the Container Brewing brewery tour. With mountains of crispy chicken and low and slow-cooked barbecue in tow, you’ll want to pack some extra napkins for this ride.
