A fantastic, film-centric (and free) way to celebrate Canada’s sesquicentennial at The Cinematheque!
On April 19th, The Cinematheque will participate in a one-day, coast-to-coast-to-coast tribute to Canadian cinema with free screenings of our nation’s most stunning films. The event will feature four celebrated movies ranging from intimate documentaries to groundbreaking and Oscar winning shorts. Tickets for this are available on a first-come, first-served basisÌýstarting Wednesday, April 19 at 5:30pm.
The event is put on collaboration with and is also part of , which will be bringing more free film screenings to The CinemathequeÌýthroughoutÌýthis year.
To encourage future generations of Canadian filmmakers, The Cinematheque will also be offering Free Film Studies workshops for schools during the day.
